About the Federation
The Northern Counties Photographic Federation (NCPF) was founded in 1901 and is the second oldest of the fifteen Regional Federations affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB). The PAGB is in turn affiliated to the Federation Internationale de l'Art Photographique (FIAP) and our members can enjoy the benefits of that association. The NCPF is also a member organisation of the Photographic Society of America (PSA) and enjoys its patronage of our International Exhibition.
The objective of the NCPF is the enhancement of photography. We serve some fifty clubs and societies across the North of England, covering an area, which includes the whole of the counties of Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, Durham, Cleveland and the northern part of Cumbria. A number of clubs and societies in the northern part of North Yorkshire and the Scottish Borders are also members of the NCPF, as are some national organisations. Lecturers' List The NCPF is sub-divided into geographical Areas, each of which can also organise functions on a more local level. In addition to this we have supported the development of skills in Digital Imaging by the formation of sub-regional digital groups. |
